Face coverings on school transport in West Yorkshire

Face coverings are compulsory on public transport in England. This is in addition to social distancing measures already in place.

Secondary School Services

All passengers  aged 11+ are required to wear a face covering.

You can read further government guidance about how to properly wear a face covering.

Please note, passengers must provide their own face coverings.

Primary School Services

Passengers are not required to wear a face covering.

However, should any parent/carer wish to board the vehicle to assist their young child to fastening their seatbelt for example, then the parent/carer must also wear a face covering. As above, parents/carers must provide their own.

Exemptions

As per government guidelines, anyone with breathing difficulties or whose disabilities makes it difficult for them to wear a face covering are exempt.
