Bus Services using Bishopgate Street, New Station Street and Boar Lane changed from Sunday 24 July 2022

From Sunday 24 July work commenced on some major improvements to the main entrance to Leeds City Railway Station, which will see changes to New Station Street and Bishopgate Street.

Bishopgate Street - where to catch your bus from Sunday 24 July
- 1 1B to Lawnswood/Headingley Campus will use City Square stop E (Infirmary Street)
- 14 to Pudsey will use Wellington Street stop A
New Station Street - where to catch you bus from Sunday 24 July
- 4 4F to Pudsey will use City Square D on Infirmary Street
- 5 5A to Leeds General Infirmary will use station B (new stop on Boar Lane near City Square)
- 16 16A to Pudsey will use City Square D on Infirmary Street
- 19 19A to Tinshill/Ireland Wood will use Station stop B (new stop on Boar Lane near City Square)
- A1 to Leeds Bradford Airport will use Station stop B (new stop on Boar Lane near City Square)
- The 874 DalesBus service will be going from Station stop B (new stop on Boar Lane near City Square)
Boar Lane bus stop changes - from Sunday 24 July
- PR3 will no longer use stop Trinity O on Boar Lane, this service will now use Trinity K on Lower Briggate.
- Services 7, 7A & 7S will set down at Trinity O on Boar Lane
Location of bus stops
Boar Lane - Station stop B
- Start at the Station exit with Marks and Spencer on your right-hand side as you exit
- Turn left and proceed down New Station Street
- Pass Pret-a-manger on your left
- Follow the building line along the Queens Hotel on your left
- Pass the first pedestrian crossing
- Continue until you reach the end of the building line. This journey is approximately 100 metres
- Turn right and take the controlled crossing on your right
- Cross New station Street onto an island on Bishopsgate Street
- Walk forward towards the controlled crossing which will cross Bishopsgate Street
- Cross here onto Boar Lane
- Pass O’Neill’s pub on your right
- The first bus stop on your left is where you will catch your bus
- This bus stop is opposite Park Plaza and Decathlon
Infirmary Street - City Square stops D & E
- Start at the Station exit with Marks and Spencer on your right-hand side as you exit
- Turn left and proceed down New Station Street
- Pass Pret-a-manger on your left
- Follow the building line along the Queens Hotel on your left
- Pass the first pedestrian crossing
- Continue until you reach the end of the building line. This journey is approximately 100 metres
- Turn left and travel across the front of the Queens Hotel
- Pass the Queens Hotel entrance on your left
- Pass the Grand Pacific restaurant entrance on your left
- Stop at the Station Northern entrance. This distance is approximately 50 metres
- Use the controlled crossing on your right
- Cross here onto the large pavement area in front of the Majestic Channel 4 building
- Walk past this building on your left and towards the next controlled crossing over Quebec Street
- Cross here onto the City Square large outdoor café and public square area. Keep Bar and Grill and Banyan outdoor cafes spaces on your left
- When you reach the end of the café area, which is enclosed, turn left onto Infirmary Street
- Follow the building line along on your left for approximately 50 metres
- Continue past the first bus stop on your right
- Continue past the second bus stop on your right
- Pass the pedestrian crossing on your right
- The third bus stop on your right is where you will catch your bus
- The bus stop is opposite Evans Cycles and Pret-a-Manger
