Leeds City Centre, New Station Street (Leeds)

Services affected: 4, 4G, 5, 11, 11E, 15, 16, 19, 19A, 40, 757 and 874

New Station Street will be closed to traffic from 2359 on Sunday 27 January until Autumn 2019. Buses will be diverted via Mill Hill and Bishopgate Street from the start of service on Monday 28 January

The Leeds Station Interchange (New Station Street) is going to be closed to traffic (except for taxis) from Monday 28 January 2019 for approximately 9 months.

The West Yorkshire Combined Authority, Leeds City Council and Network Rail are transforming the area outside Leeds railway station entrance to improve the area and create a more attractive space. For details visit  New Station Street scheme

Bus services will be diverted as follows:

  • Services 4, 4G, 16 & 16A  will use stops Boar Lane T6 and Wellington Street W1
  • Service 5 wil use stops Bishopgate Street Z1 and King Street W4
  • Services 11 & 11E will use Wellington Street W1
  • Services 19 & 19A will use Infirmary Street D
  • Service 40 will use stops Duncan Street K17 and Infirmary Street G
  • Service 757 will use Bishopgate Street Z1 and Wellington Street S3 (this stop will be suspended due to cycle highway works at some stage during the closure of New Station Street)
  • Service 874 Dalesbus will use Bishopgate Street Z1

Alighting services 7, 7A, 7S, 40, 64, 444 & 446 will operate via Mill Hill and Bishopgate Street.
