Updated: 10 August 2022

HCT Group notified the Combined Authority that its CT Plus operation in West Yorkshire ceased running buses from 1700 on Friday 5 August.

The following routes are affected:

  • 30 Horsforth-Horsforth Vale-Pudsey
  • 341 Huddersfield-Almondbury-Stocksmoor
  • 354 355 Huddersfield-Netherton-South Crosland
  • 374 375 Huddersfield-Dalton
  • 377 378 Huddersfield-Marsh-Mount

  • 61 61A St James's Hospital-Hunslet-John Charles Stadium.  This service is now being operated by Connexionsbuses -  61 61A timetable
  • 81 81A Leeds City Centre-Old Farnley-Pudsey. The 81 service is now being operated by Square Peg- 81 timetable
  • 113 Dewsbury & District Hospital-Pinderfields Hospital-Pontefract Hospital - is now being operated by Arriva Yorkshire

West Yorkshire Combined Authority approached bus operators as soon as we were advised by CT Plus that they would be closing, but unfortunately none were available to taken on the services immediately.

We have therefore invited bus operators to tender for the affected routes, tenders must be submitted. Following this, contracts will be awarded and the successful operator will need time to secure buses and drivers.

We are hopeful that these services can be restored by the end of the August.
