Low Moor Rail StationMarch 2017

West Yorkshire Combined Authority are delighted to announce that the construction of the new rail station at Low Moor is complete and opened for service on Sunday 2 April.

Northern rail services are operating one train per hour in either direction.  Grand Central services on the West Riding route (between Bradford Interchange and London Kings Cross stations) will call at Low Moor with the exception of the 07:52 departure from Bradford Interchange - this train will call at Low Moor from Monday 22 May.

The station has been developed by the West Yorkshire Combined Authority (WYCA), in partnership with Network Rail, Northern Rail and City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council (CBMDC) and is situated off New Works Road, off Cleckheaton Road in the Low Moor area, approximately three miles south west of Bradford city centre.

The station is situated on the Caldervale Line between Bradford Interchange and Halifax Rail Station, which is ideally located to serve the communities on the outskirts of Bradford, including Low Moor, Oakenshaw and Wyke by car or bus, and the nearer communities by cycle or foot.

The station also serves the surrounding residential and industrial areas and is within easy access of the M62 / M606 junction, to attract Park and Ride users.

 The station development includes:

  • Fully accessible platforms with footbridge and passenger lifts.
  • Approximately 128-space car park with dedicated Blue Badge parking bays, drop-off point and cycle parking.
  • Passenger information displays and public address system.
  • Modern waiting shelters, lighting, seating and CCTV.
  • Direct access to and from the adjacent Spen Valley Greenway.
