Customer Information Enhancements at Rail Stations

Keeping passengers better informed at rail stations across West Yorkshire

February 2015

Passengers will be better informed at railway stations as part of the latest phase of a project to provide electronic information screens.

The project funded by the West Yorkshire Combined Authority, Northern Rail and Grand Central is putting departure screens on platforms at 14 West Yorkshire railway stations.  The stations are: Batley, Burley Park, Cottingley, Denby Dale, Featherstone, Headingley, Honley, Marsden, Mirfield, Morley, Shepley, Slaithwaite, South Elmsall and Walsden.  Installation work is continuing and screens are going live as soon as each station is completed.

Later in the year Northern Rail through a commitment of their franchise will be funding the installation of information screens at an additional 5 West Yorkshire stations: Berry Brow, Brockholes, Deighton, Lockwood and Stocksmoor.
